Toxic Barrel Girl

Concept

This was a different type project i ended up creating. I wanted to make a character in a radioactive barrel to showcase Glowy parts but also render something in Pixar's Renderman renderer since i hadnt worked with it since i was working with it in 2019. but in order to get the concept down pat i decided to use assets i already made and import those into Zbrush to get the postions down right. Also wanted to go with the theme of a toxic gamer but you know without the actually nastyness that some actually are

Zbrush

Zbrush had some creative choices i wanted to go with while making this. first was how she was gonna hold the controller

I originally was gonna have her hold the controller by the cord but everytime i had it, it just looked off to me so thats when i just had her pose with it the way it is now

Maya

Onto the setup in Maya, not too much to work in there aside from making the little gameboy asset and some background objects to fit the scene.

Rest of the work was done with the Shaders in Renderman

Renderman

Renderman was the final step to this piece, most of the tough parts were in the skin shader and tweaking the rest of the shaders in order to get a fast rendertime.

After getting the result to where i was satisfied i ended up rendering out a noisy version and a denoiser version and blending them in GIMP in order to get more details out of some objects.

Overall i think there is some things in this that i could have done better like more parts to the hair and maybe more to the background than just a plain wall. But i am happy with how the renders turned out.
