Nathan Fillion Head Sculpt

Software Used: Zbrush, Blender

I created my last head sculpt back in 2016 and i always felt like that i could do better with that project and that i could understand human anatomy better. This took me about 3 weeks (Mostly Weekdays) and im satisfied with how the result came out

So the plan i had with this was that i wanted to make another likeness head, but this time it would be of Nathan Fillion since i thought he would be an easy person to sculpt a likeness of.
I started out with a Dynamesh ball in Zbrush and worked it to where i wanted the head to go, somedays i would leave it and then come back with a fresher mind and see what is wrong with it
. But thankfully i only spent about 1 week on the sculpt before moving onto the rest of the model

Then after all the detail was done i did a quick type of polypaint for the skin texture making sure i make it close to the real thing although probably not hitting that without pre made displacement maps but i think the result was to what i wanted.

Now onto Blender, there was some hiccups on this one. First was setting up the hair. This was my first time using Blender's new Hair system, so there was YouTube tutorial watching to be had with this one but i started understanding this than i thought i would. Then it was onto the shaders and figuring out how to make things pop, that too took some time but i eventually figured out how to make the skin look like skin and exported the right map out of Zbrush. Then Lighting was just a ton of tweaking and adjusting.

Final Result
